What a privilege it was to serve as a conference pastor and facilitate an interest group at PYT 2019. My faith deepened and my commitment to ministry was strengthened. Conversations around faith and life with youth and adults always encourage my faith development. I encountered once again that we Presbyterians are a diverse group of Christians, but the gospel holds us together. We are one body as we are growing as disciples of Christ, engaging God’s justice, offering hope and making the world a more beautiful place in which to live.

Preaching on the Triennium theme of the day, PC(USA) worship associate the Rev. Dr. David Gambrell said technology makes it faster and more convenient to wander from God’s way. Then he identified an app for each of the seven deadly sins.

Becca Stevens, the founder of a community for woman who survived trafficking, prostitution and addiction, will speak at the 1001 and Vital Congregations national gathering. Stevens will share her inspiring story of hope that details how we can become a part of each other’s healing.
