Happy New Year!

As we enter 2021 with both renewed hope and lingering grief and anxiety, the network and leaders of new worshiping communities continue to lead us forward with courage, challenge, inspiration and wonder. If you could use a good dose of any of those, keep reading for a guaranteed shot of inspiration.

Have you listened lately to the 1001 "New Way" podcast? Host Sara Hayden assembled a beautiful set of interviews for the Advent season, including a very special conversation with her 7-year-old son, Sam. A new season of podcasts will launch this month, and watch for our Lenten episodes beginning in mid-February, where our guests will explore what it’s like to be in the wilderness and how these experiences shape our faith. Check out our entire podcast archive at and subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts.

Also watch this video to discover how to welcome people who often feel excluded. It’s a fascinating interview with two NWC leaders who use very different methods to create community among people often left out of corporate worship gatherings.

And read this story about "Voices of Jubile" at here. This NWC began as a gospel choir in a Virginia juvenile correctional center — and now encourages and inspires incarcerated youth.

As you can see, the 1001 movement continues to grow and flourish reaching new people with the love and grace of God, challenging historical injustice, building understanding and hopeful relationships. These new communities exist through the generosity of faithful Presbyterians across generations. Will you join their support by making a financial gift at to further our ministry together?

Below are some of our training events that we’ve been able to create for NWC leaders thanks to your generosity.

Blessings on this New Year — 2021. And thank you!
