Gratitude abounds!

Greetings, siblings in Christ!

Christ has risen! We continue to reflect on how grateful we are for our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the hope we have through his resurrection. We also are grateful for new beginnings as we continue to prepare for our 2021–22 in-person YAV year! We will be moving forward with our seven YAV sites in the U.S., along with Colombia, South Korea and Scotland.

We are collaborating with World Mission, Presbyterian Mission leadership, YAV site coordinators and church partners to ensure that we are taking proper safety precautions to ensure everyone remains safe as they serve.

As we embark on our 2021–22 YAV year, there are some exciting ways you can engage with our incoming class and site coordinators. Every Wednesday at 10 a.m. (EDT) through May, we will be going live on Facebook and interviewing our site coordinators! Hear directly from the leaders who transform our young adults around the Matthew 25 vision of building congregational vitality, dismantling structural racism and eradicating systemic poverty. Also, we will be commissioning the incoming YAV class live on Facebook on Aug. 22. Please stay tuned for more details.

Just like you have provided us with your support for nearly 30 years, we invite you to continue to journey with us through prayers, your generous giving, reading the blogs of current YAVs and YAV alums and by encouraging young adults ages 19–30 to apply.

Matthew 25 Church
We invite you to join us on this journey to become a Matthew 25 church

Jesus calls us to act boldly and compassionately to serve people who are hungry, oppressed, imprisoned and poor. We rejoice how our re-energized faith can unite all Presbyterians for a shared and holy purpose: our common identity to do mission. Over 900 churches and mid councils have accepted the Matthew 25 invitation to help our denomination become a more relevant presence in the world by building congregational vitality, dismantling structural racism and eradicating systemic poverty.
