Working for racial justice

Presbyterians are prioritizing the fight for racial justice by educating themselves, engaging in hard conversations, preaching boldly and prophetically, and taking other meaningful action. Our denomination is learning that making long-lasting change to nullify racism means that we must change our culture and our mindset, build relationships with people who are different, and foster mutual respect. This issue of Presbyterians Today examines what some congregations are doing in this important struggle.

Matthew 25-Actively engaged in the world

The Matthew 25 invitation was officially launched in April of 2019. Over a year later there are more than 530 churches, groups and mid councils that have made the commitment to become a Matthew 25 church and work towards building congregational vitality, dismantling structural racism and eradicating systemic poverty.
